We believe nannies
offer the most flexible of childcare solutions
and allow for your children to be cared for in the comfort of their
own home. At a minimum our nannies will be qualified childcare
professionals or have at least two years practical experience of
caring for children.
Typical duties
Nannies are responsible for caring for your children, providing
a safe and stimulating environment which alongside planned
activities helps the children learn and develop. In addition a nanny
will typically undertake nursery duties. This will include laundry,
preparing balanced nutritious meals and being responsible for the
childrens’ bedrooms, playroom as well as maintaining communal
areas such as the kitchen.
The cost
The cost of a nanny very much depends on the level of qualifications
and experience, the hours of duty and the number of children in her
care.
A qualified and experienced nanny would normally expect to earn
between £6 and £8 net per hour. For a full time position this would
normally equate to £280 - £350 net per week.
Most nannies like to agree a net wage per week. However as an
employer you are responsible for paying tax and national insurance
so it is important that you agree at the outset a gross wage to
understand the extent of your commitment.
